If you wish to add to the agenda please contact Nannette Tosh-Robb Minutes of Last Meeting July 23 2008 Location: Mi Casa, Turlock Attendance:G.Walters, C.Kelh, N.Tosh-Robb, A.Prows, J.Dunn, C.Stokes, S.Capps, R.Dorius, M.Duffy, C.Nichols Called to order by chairperson Minutes of last meeting read (recap version) from 6/12/08: 1) DS 3 Star show dates for 2009,2010,2011 have been accepted by USEF. 2) Whether or not 2 rings will be used at shows will be determined by the Show Secretary based on the number of entries 3) Michelle Vaughn guest Motion to approve verbal minutes by J.Dunn, 2nd by C.Stokes Written minutes still to be posted New Business: 1) DS 3 Star show dates for next 3 years- motion for approval of dates by C.Stokes, 2nd by G.Walters. Confirmation paperwork will be signed and sent in by Chair 2) Show fees- approved by Board to raise entry fees by $5.00 per class starting show year 2009. - Board agreed to not institute office fees for 2009 show year 3) Profit and Loss statement for shows this year- Nanette will provide P/L at next meeting 4) Dressage clinic with Heidi Chote Sept 7 at Janelle’s place. Available spots are limited. Please contact Janelle. There will be a horse massage demo at the clinic. 5) Standing Rules- not yet posted as not yet approved by CDS. When approved, will be posted under separate heading on the DS website. 6) Current qualification for year end awards and amateur clinic- update for 2008 not posted on web site. Led to discussion of need for periodic updating by webmaster, so info is current. Nannette will discuss with webmaster. 7) Discussion held regarding sending out periodic mailed newsletter to members. Motion made by Nannette and approved by Board to send out mailing in April and Oct each year, starting this Oct. Elections and Awards Banquet will remain as a separate mailing each year. 8) Schooling shows- discussion held regarding Chapter sponsored schooling shows. All members not interested in rated shows. Difficulty for our chapter lies in our large geography. Schooling shows have very few entries, yet require basically same man power and rules to follow. Next meeting Sept 10 at 7pm.
